Strong management for lifting
Strong arrangements have been made for cash credit limit, mandis, grain storage and lifting under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Wheat is being paid to farmers within 24 hours. So far, 5 lakh farmers have been paid 15 thousand crore rupees. The loading charge on the demand of workers has been increased to Rs 2.64 per sack. This will provide additional benefit of Rs 10 crore to the workers.

Demand for wheat increased internationally
Kataruchak said that the demand for wheat has increased internationally due to the Russia-Ukraine war. The Punjab government is buying one grain of the crop of farmers. Farmers, agents and laborers have expressed satisfaction over the purchase arrangements. Regarding the compensation of the damage of wheat crop due to the fire, he said that instructions have been issued to the Deputy Commissioners in this regard to complete the process of compensation to the farmers concerned as soon as possible.
The cabinet minister also visited Mandi and took stock of transport and instructed to speed up the lifting.
