The Navy ship collided with the bridge on 17 May in New York, USA.
The training ship of Mexican Navy in New York, USA collided with Kuutemok Brooklyn Bridge. The incident occurred on Saturday evening when the ship was passing under the bridge.
The video of this accident is viral on social media, in which the upper part of the ship is seen colliding with the bridge. The New York mayor said that 19 people were injured when the ship collided, out of which 4 were seriously injured.
According to the media, there were more than 200 crew members on Kuutemok. The ship came on a friendly tour in New York. New York’s Emergency Crisis Management Agency (NYCEM) said they are investigating the incident.
At the same time, the Mexican Navy says that the ship has been damaged and the case is being investigated. The Fire Department of New York said that the injured are being assisted.

The Kuutemok ship is 297 feet long and 40 feet wide. It first ran in 1982. Every year after the end of Naval School classes, it leaves for training of cadets. On 6 April this year, it left for 277 people from the Akapulo port in Mexico.
The ship was to stay in 22 ports of 15 countries, such as Kingston (Jamaica), Havana (Cuba), Kojumel (Mexico), New York, Reckjavik (Iceland), Bordeaux, St. Malo, Dunkck (France), and Eberdeen (Scotland). 170 days were spent in the sea in a total of 254 days journey.
The Mexican Embassy stated on X on 13 May that Kuutemok, called the ‘sea ambassador and knight’, reached Pear 17 of New York on the same day. People were invited to watch the ship by 17 May.
