Security forces seized fennels worth Rs 165 crore from different parts of Mizoram and arrested five people. The officers provided this information.
The Border Security Force (BSF) achieved great success against cross -border drug smuggling in a special joint campaign with the Bureau of Control Bureau (NCB) and seized 9.6 lakh methmfetamine (orba) bullets worth more than Rs 144 crore from Serchhip district.
Three people have been arrested in the case. According to officials, on the basis of a secret information, a team of force and NCB officials carried out a joint operation and on Thursday stopped a pickup truck near Serchip city.
The team recovered 9.6 lakh methmfetamine bullets worth Rs 144 crore from the vehicle and arrested three residents of Aizawl on charges of keeping banned materials.
In another case, security personnel on Friday seized seven kilograms of methmfetamine bullets worth Rs 21 crore on the outskirts of Aizawl and arrested two people.
