Mercury reaches 40 degrees in Punjab, IMD predicts rain in next 3 days

The temperature is continuously increasing in Punjab. Temperatures in more than half of the cities have crossed 40 degrees, on the other hand, most are around 30. Meanwhile, there are chances of rain in Majha and Doaba on Monday and in Malwa on Tuesday-Wednesday. Therefore, the Meteorological Department has also issued a yellow alert.

According to the Meteorological Department, yellow alert has been issued regarding rain in some districts in the next few days. In this warning, Gurdaspur and Amritsar within Majha, Kapurthala and Jalandhar within Doaba and Ludhiana Barnala, Rupnagar, Patiala, SAS Nagar and Bathinda in Malwa are on yellow alert.

There is a yellow alert for rain in Bathinda, Muktsar, Faridkot, Fazilka, Ferozepur and Mansa in Malwa on Tuesday. If we talk about Wednesday, apart from Barnala, Mansa and Sangrur of Malwa, yellow alert has been issued in entire West Malwa and Ferozepur, Fazilka, Faridkot, Muktsar, Moga and Bathinda and there is a possibility of heavy rain.

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for rain for the next 3 days, but this will not bring much relief from the heat. There will be relief from the rain for a few moments but with it the sun will increase and the mercury will also rise. The temperature in the cities is expected to reach close to 42 degrees in the coming days.
