Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni spoke to Prime Minister Modi on a telephone on Thursday night. He expressed grief to those killed in the terrorist attack on Tuesday in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
He reiterated the full support of Italy in the fight against terrorism. PM Modi appreciated the clear message against his support and terror. Apart from Meloni, French President Emmanuel Macron also spoke to PM Modi over the phone.
He expressed grief to the people killed in the Pahalgam attack and said that France and his allies will continue the fight wherever needed against terrorism. Macron posted information about the conversation with Prime Minister Modi on X.
Paigam terrorist attack echoed in British Parliament
The case of terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir echoed in the British Parliament. Sikh MP Tanmanjit Singh Dhesi and British MP Bob Blackman raised the issue in Parliament on Thursday (April 24) and called it a cowardly, fierce and shocking terror attack.
MP Dhesi said, “I am extremely saddened by the cowardly terrorist attack on innocent tourists in Kashmir. My prayers are with the families of the victims. I sincerely hope that the culprits will soon be brought to the dock of justice.”
He requested the leader of the House in Parliament to express the condolences of the British Parliament to the Indian people on the occasion and strongly condemn this inhuman attack.
Ministry of External Affairs held a meeting with Ambassadors of other countries
On Thursday, the Ministry of External Affairs held a meeting with ambassadors from several countries including Germany, Japan, Poland, Britain and Russia at the Ministry office in South Block in Delhi. In this, the officials of the Ministry of External Affairs gave detailed information to the ambassadors of these countries on the Pahalgam attack.
On Thursday, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu strongly condemned the Pahalgam attack. He also spoke to PM Modi on the phone. The Israeli PM said that we are with the people of India. We have condolences with the victims.
The Russian Media Russia Today (RT) has claimed that India is going to do something big.
America criticized New York Times for reporting on Pahalgam attack
The US has criticized the New York Times (NYT) for reporting the Pahalgam terror attack. NYT described it as a militant attack, on which the US Committee of Foreign Affairs expressed displeasure and said, “This was a direct terrorist attack, NYT is far from the truth.” The US also shared the post on social media, improving NYT’s headline.
