International artists Richard Marx and Yellow Claw will headline the event along with Bollywood singers Kanika Kapoor and Neeti Mohan.This festival has become one of the biggest cultural gathering of Meghalaya. The 2024 edition received over 3 lakh visitors over two days, one of the highest ever recorded in the Northeast. Me’Gong has gradually become a major showcase of the art, music, food and indigenous craftsmanship of the Garo Hills.
According to the organizers, along with Dutch duo Yellow Claw, Bollywood singers Kanika Kapoor and Neeti Mohan will also perform at the two-day cultural and music festival to be held on December 5 and 6.

Popular domestic artistes like Rough Road, Hoi Hoi Makbil and Haystack Ladies will add regional flavor to the event. Officials said the festival aims to provide a unique experience beyond music, highlighting the cultural heritage of Garo Hills through traditional cuisine, craft exhibitions, weaving workshops, bamboo artwork and beaded jewelery crafted by local artisans.

Organizers said the 2025 edition of the Mee Gang Festival will follow zero-plastic protocols, community-led waste management and eco-friendly establishments. The Tourism Department of the Meghalaya government said in a statement that the 2025 edition of the festival will expand the cultural economy framework envisioned by Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma.
