Residents of Leh city of Ladakh are enjoying curfew relaxation on Thursday. After opening shops under the lax given by the administration, there was a rush of vehicles and pedestrians on the roads. The markets will open from 10 am to 5 pm today, which will give relief to those who are finally able to get out of their homes. “The markets were closed for a week,” said a local resident. This protest was being done by people demanding state status to Ladakh and inclusion of the sixth schedule, which turned into clashes with police officers in Leh.
