Mariyappan wins silver, Sharad wins bronze at Tokyo Paralympics

Indian athletes have excelled at the Tokyo Paralympics. On Tuesday, Mariyappan Thangavelu won the silver medal while Sharad Kumar won the bronze medal.

In the men’s high jump T63 event, Mariyappan jumped 1.86 meters while Sharad jumped 1.83 meters. America’s Sam Curry has managed to win a gold medal. India now has three medals in the high jump at the Tokyo Games. Earlier, India’s Nishad Kumar had won a silver medal in the men’s high jump T47 event with an Asian record on Sunday.
