Maratha Reservation | A burning issue again reached Mumbai, Jarang Patil’s Maratha March, again in Mumbai

An important issue in Maharashtra politics, the storm of Maratha reservation is once again in the state, in which Manoj Jarang Patil is at the forefront. Demonstrating his power, thousands of protesters gathered in Mumbai, gathered at Azad Maidan via CST and emphasized their decades -old demand for reservation rights. On August 29, there was chaos in South Mumbai as the Maratha reservation march went out of the police limits. Although the authorities had allowed only five vehicles to go and limited the number of crowds to 5,000, the Eastern Expressway soon got jammed by a convoy of protesters and thousands of people gathered in South Mumbai. Anger erupted after the protesters stop the buses of the best, causing the police to talk immediately to the protesting leaders to calm the unrest.

This is not the first time such scenes have been seen in Mumbai. In 2016, after the rape and murder of a minor girl from the community, Maratha protesters stalled South Mumbai. In 2017, they returned with a demand for reservation, which caused the city to come to a standstill once again. Even in January 2024, Jarange Patil had left for Navi Mumbai, leading thousands of people, leading a protest at Shivaji Park. But after the intervention of the then Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, this march dispersed in Vashi.
