An important meeting of the Punjab Cabinet was held today under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Many important decisions have been taken in the cabinet meeting.
After the meeting, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann held a press conference and gave information about the decisions. The Chief Minister said that it has been decided in the meeting that 18 new posts will be recruited in the Excise Department.
An important decision was taken regarding 497 cleaning workers working as service provider scheme in veterinary hospitals of rural and development department. He said that some employees are getting minimum wage, some are getting less than that, they are paying 6 thousand. He said that now his services have been extended by 1 year. Now all workers will be paid equally.
He said that another big decision has been taken that the teachers of PAU were given revised scales as per UGC. Teachers of Master Cadre of Guru Angad Dev University will be given benefits under UGC pay scales. The next turn will now be of PTU.
Land was acquired at Govindpura in Mansa district, which was to generate power. Now we have given approval for solar and renewable energy.
