‘Malik’ starring Rajkummar Rao earned Rs 15.02 crore on first ‘weekend’

‘Malik’ starring Rajkumar Rao has earned a total of Rs 15 crore from cinema houses across the country in three days. The manufacturers made this announcement on Monday. The ‘Malik’ produced by Kumar Taprani’s ‘Tips Film’ and Jai Shevakrasani’s ‘Northern Lights Films’ is directed by Pulkit from the film ‘Bhakkit’.

This action thriller film based on the background of Allahabad of the 1980s is a poignant story of the film ambition, power and existence that shows what price is to pay in the world running with guns, greed and loyalty.

Rao, who is known for his acting in films like ‘Shahid’, ‘Newton’, ‘Stree’ and ‘Srikanth’, is playing the role of a gangster in Rao ‘Malik’. The producer company shared a post with a film poster on its official ‘X’ handle and informed about the earnings made at the ticket window of the cinema houses.

‘Malik’ opened an account with a gross of 4.02 crores at the ticket window across the country on the first day and earned Rs 5.45 crore on the second day. The film has so far grossed a total of Rs 15.02 crore. ‘Malik’ also stars Manushi Chillar. The music of the film is given by Sachin-Jigar and Ketan Sodha.
