Mahindra Thar Four Wheel Drive version gets Two new Colors

Mahindra, one of the leading automobile companies, has introduced the four wheel drive version of its Thar in two new colours. These are Everett White and Blazing Bronze. These colors were earlier available only for the 2WD model. Mahindra’s Thar 4WD will be available in six colours. These include Aqua Marine, Red Rage, Napoli Black and Galaxy Grey, apart from two new colours.

Earlier this month, the company increased the price of the RWD variant of the Thar by around Rs 50,000. It was launched earlier this year at a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh. It comes in three variants, RWD Diesel MT variant, LX RWD Diesel MT trim variant and LX RWD Petrol AT. Mahindra Thar had pending orders of around 37,000 units at the beginning of this year. Last month, its waiting period had increased to four months. The company has also increased the price of its XUV300 by up to Rs 22,000 from this month.

The price hike is due to the new engine being used to comply with the stricter emission norms that will come into effect from next month. The company claims that the XUV400 has the fastest acceleration capability in the non-luxury segment. Mahindra also plans to launch some new electric vehicles. Tata Motors has the largest market share in this segment.
