Mahavatar Narsimha Box Office | Mahavatar Narasimha made a splash at the box office, became India’s highest -grossing animated film

Ashwin Kumar’s film Mahavatar Narasimha is making a splash at the box office. This animated mythological drama, based on the epic story of Prahlad Maharaj and Lord Vishnu’s Prachanda Narasimha avatar, has made a deep impression in the hearts of the audience and has grossed Rs 91.25 crore within just 10 days of release.

The film has now become India’s highest grossing animated feature film, which has overtaken international blockbuster films like ‘Spider-Man’ and ‘Kung Fu Panda’ at the domestic box office. According to data from Sacnilk.com, its total earnings worldwide are Rs 112 crore.

Mahavatar Narasimha showed a great growth

According to the latest update of Sacnilk.com, Mahavatar Narasimha earned ₹ 15.4 crore on his second Saturday. It showed an increase of 100% compared to the previous day, the day it earned ₹ 7.7 crore. In the second week, such a tremendous growth indicates a strong response from the fans who watched the film, leading to further boost to the film. Since today is a weekend, by the end of today (3 August), Mahavatar Narasimha is expected to increase one day earnings. So far it has earned ₹ 13.4 crore (till 6.30 pm). So far, the total earnings have increased to ₹ 81.25 crore.

Box office competition

This is a surprising growth for any animated film, especially when the film is getting a tough competition from Ajay Devgan’s Sun of Sardar 2, Vijay Devarakonda’s Kingdom and Siddhant Chaturvedi-Tripti Dimri’s Dhadak 2. Mahavatar Narasimha has earned more than all these new releases in his second week.

Hombal Films and Cleim Productions have officially released a list of many more animated films. The upcoming titles of this franchise include Mahavatar Parashuram (2027), Mahavatar Raghunandan (2029), Mahavatar Dhavakadesh (2031), Mahavatar Gokulanand (2033), and Mahavatar Kalki (2035–2037). This production house is preparing for Kantara: Chapter 1, which is going to be released on 2 October.

Despite facing competition with high-profile titles such as ‘Sayyara’ and recently released ‘Dhadak 2’, this animated spectacle maintains its place with its attractive tale, emotional depth and rich visual palette.

Continuing his victory, Mahavatar Narasimha, industry experts are closely monitoring how this mythological franchise will shape the future of Indian animation – and will it be able to open a new creative and business front to tell domestic story.
