Shiv Sena (Ubatha) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) -led Maharashtra government of trying to end Marathi from the state.
Thackeray also called Devendra Fadnavis a helpless Chief Minister for not dismissing the ministers facing corruption allegations. At his residence Matoshree in Bandra, Mumbai, Thackeray said that although the opposition had given evidence of the corruption of the ministers, he was only warned.
The Shetkari Kranti Sangathan at Thackeray’s residence Matoshree merged into Shiv Sena (Ubatha). Thackeray said, “I have never seen such a helpless Chief Minister before. Nobody can ask for an answer from anyone. ”
Opposition party Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) minister Manikrao was demanding the resignation of Kokate, who faced criticism after the alleged video went viral on social media in which he is shown playing ‘Ram’ in the Legislative Council. After this, Cocate also faced criticism for insensitive remarks about farmers.
On Thursday night, Kokate was transferred from the Ministry of Agriculture to the Sports and Youth Welfare Department. Shiv Sena (UBT) is especially demanding their resignation, accusing their rival Shiv Sena ministers Sanjay Shirsat, Sanjay Rathore and Yogesh Kadam of corruption.
Thackeray said that his party would protest against the ministers on the issue of corruption. On the dispute, former Chief Minister Thackeray said, “The government is trying to eliminate Marathi from Maharashtra.
In a separate program at the pagoda with the ministry, Thackeray said, “We have no hatred from anyone, but no one should impose on us.” Thackeray’s gesture was allegedly towards two controversial government proposals (GR) related to trinity and Hindi imposing Hindi for students from class one to five.
GRs were withdrawn after strict opposition from different classes. Uddhav and his cousin Raj Thackeray addressed a joint rally on July 5 to celebrate the GR of Hindi.
