Madhya Pradesh received an investment proposal of Rs 56,414 crore in Katni mining conference: Chief Minister Yadav

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that during the mining conference 2.0 held in Katni district of the state, the state received an investment proposal of Rs 56,414 crore from eight mining companies.

He said at the conference on Saturday that Madhya Pradesh has never lagged behind in terms of mineral resources and is now moving rapidly towards developing itself as the country’s mining state.

The Chief Minister urged investors to set up industries in the state and assured them of full support from the government. Yadav said that the conference shows the increasing interest of industrialists across the country in Madhya Pradesh. He said that investment proposals would motivate the state to make further progress in the mining sector.

He said that the state government has signed an MoU with Coal India Limited for the discovery, processing and development of important minerals. Another MoU was signed with Texmin ISM, Dhanbad for the use of artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain and remote sensing in the mining sector.

The Chief Minister said that the state also signed a memorandum with Indian Science Education and Research Institute (Icers), Bhopal for mineral investigation research. Yadav said that Katni is rich in mineral reserves and important minerals are also being discovered. Panna has diamond reserves and there is also a possibility of sleeping in Katni.

The state has implemented transparent policies for the development of all regions. Labor laws have been amended to allow women to work in the night shift. Other states are learning from the policies of Madhya Pradesh and the government is working fast to make the state number one in the country.

The Chief Minister said that the government has reduced 29 types of permissions to only 10 for smoothness. The Chief Minister announced that a spiritual conference will be held in Ujjain on August 27 and a tourism conference in Gwalior on 31 August. The government is promoting religious tourism.
