Bollywood icon Madhuri Dixit Nene has been embroiled in controversy after several people attending her USA-Canada tour attacked her online for arriving three hours late to the event in Toronto. Describing the program as “poorly organized”, one person even went so far as to say that the program’s advertising was misleading, as it did not clearly mention that it would be primarily a chat show, with very little programming.

Sharing a video on Instagram of Madhuri dancing to her famous song “Mera Piya Ghar Aaya” from Yaarana (1995) during the Toronto leg of her “The Golden Diva of Bollywood” tour, a netizen wrote on Instagram, “If I can give you one piece of advice, it’s don’t join Madhuri Dixit’s tour… save your money.” He added, “What a lousy show this is… and they get paid for it?”
Madhuri Dixit had to face criticism
Madhuri Dixit recently announced on social media that she will be on a tour of America and Canada from November 2 to November 15. However, a video is going viral on social media in which Madhuri Dixit is seen on stage. How did fans react to Madhuri Dixit arriving late on tour?
People on the internet were divided over Madhuri Dixit arriving late for her tour by almost three hours. He made comments like, “I’m glad I saw him, but I went at 11:05 pm because I had work the next day. To be honest, I don’t know whether the organizers or he himself decided to come at 10 pm. On my ticket, the show start time was written at 7:30 pm. There was no pre-show information. I expected it to be a conversation, with a little singing and dancing. It started too late and disrespected the audience’s time”, “The worst show one can go to, no regard for the audience’s time. 3 hours late and then full of nonsense”, etc. Some people also commented on his stage presence and called him “overrated”.

However, Madhuri’s loyalists were quick to defend her. One netizen wrote, “But she is doing great as always! This could be a production or management coordination issue.” Another said, “What do you expect from her at her age? People buy tickets to see her. Because she’s been great.”
On the work front, Madhuri Dixit was last seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 alongside Kartik Aryan, Vidya Balan and Trupti Dimri.
