The killer is a student of 12th standard

The 17 -year -old teenager is the son of a woman’s tenant and a student of class 12. Police are investigating the role of her parents and other family members. The 80 -year -old victim Narinder Kaur Deol was an American citizen. She lived in her house in Raghbir Park on Jasian Road for a few months, while the rest of the months she lived in America.

She lived on the first floor of the house while staying in Ludhiana, while she had rented the ground floor to a family.

Narinder Kaur was scorched on 23 March

SHO Inspector Madhu Bala of Habowal police station said that the woman was scorched on 23 March. Police reached the spot and took him to Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH). Police reported this to his daughter Ravinder Kaur, who lived in the US, who reached the city.

Meanwhile, the woman died on 26 March. Earlier, the police investigated Ravinder Kaur’s statement under Section 194 of BNSS.

When the tenant’s son is missing, the police suspects

He later suspected that his mother had been murdered, after which the police started investigation. Police came to know that a son of tenants was missing. The police started searching for him and recovered him from Sangam Chowk on Chuadpur Road. During interrogation, the minor confessed his crime. A case has been registered against the accused under Section 103 (murder) of BNS.

The fare was outstanding for 6 months

SHO Madhu said that during interrogation, Kishore said that the rent of the house was outstanding for the last six months. He went up to give some part of the rent, as the family could arrange a small amount. The woman cooking in the kitchen refused to take the money and asked her to pay the entire amount i.e. Rs 50,000.

The boy said that in anger, he pulled the woman near the gas stove and set her clothes on fire with the stove. He immediately ran away and left the woman surrounded by flames. When the neighbors saw a fire coming out of the house, they came to save the woman and informed the police.

Ravinder Kaur told that before dying, the mother had told her about the attack by the boy. SHO further stated that the boy’s father is unemployed, while his mother runs the family. Two brothers of the boy also help their mother in running the family. The boy also worked as a part-time worker at a chemist shop.
