Kharge further said that your dear friend “This time, Trump Sarkar” has imposed 50% tariff on India from today. As the first shock of this tariff, in 10 areas alone, we will have an estimated ₹ 2.17 lakh crore. Our farmers, especially cotton -producing farmers, have been badly affected. You said that you are willing to pay any personal price to protect them, but you have done nothing to reduce this shock and protect their livelihood.

The Congress President, citing the report of Global Trade Research Initiative (GTRI), said that due to the tariff, India will suffer one percent loss of its GDP and will benefit China. He also attracted attention to the loss of jobs in major areas and said that American tariffs are affecting MSME (micro, small and medium enterprises). Kharge said that Global Trade Research Initiative (GTRI) suggests that about 1% of our GDP may be affected, and this will benefit China. Many export-oriented important areas, including MSME, will cause large-scale jobs.
