A lineman died due to current during electricity repair in Kapurthala district of Punjab. Police reached the spot after receiving information about the case and sent the body to the general hospital of the city for postmortem and a case was registered on the basis of family’s statement

Working in the village Khasan
According to the information, Lineman Dalveer Singh, posted in Bhultha Power Com office, was repairing electricity in village Khasan. In the accident on Wednesday afternoon, Dalveer Singh felt so fast that his hand was burnt from the elbow to bottom. After the current, he sat on the pillar, where he died.
Police engaged in investigation by registering a case
At the same time, the deceased Dalveer Singh was a resident of Isar Buche village. He was to retire next year. The Bhulatth police have started investigation by taking the body in possession. SHO Harjinder Singh said that an FIR is being registered on the basis of the statement of the relatives of the deceased. Electricity department officials are investigating the reasons for the current.
