The Deol family has been in the news recently for many reasons, such as Bobby Deol’s success in ‘The Bads of Bollywood’, but the biggest headlines recently have been about the health of veteran actor Dharmendra. The 89-year-old actor is thankfully healthy now, which is a relief for his fans, but earlier this week, some other rumors were spread on the internet. His death was announced prematurely on several channels, causing confusion and anger on social media.
Angered by the constant media surveillance of his ailing father Dharmendra and his family, actor Sunny Deol on Thursday expressed his displeasure at the media persons standing outside his house. Earlier, the Deol family had appealed several times to respect the privacy of the family regarding Dharmendra’s health. During this time, a leaked video of the hospital has also surfaced, in which Dharmendra’s family can allegedly be seen crying near his bed.
Dharmendra was discharged from Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday morning and was taken home. A day before this, on Tuesday, many media organizations had released false news about the demise of the famous actor. In a video circulated on social media, Sunny Deol can be seen coming out of his Juhu house and expressing his displeasure at the media persons standing outside.

Deol (68) is telling the media persons standing there, “You people should be ashamed.” You have parents at home, you have children. Don’t feel ashamed.” Dharmendra (89) was admitted to the hospital a few days ago for some tests and was discharged yesterday morning. Dr. Pratit Samdani of Breach Candy Hospital, who is treating the actor, said that the family has decided to get Dharmendra treated at home.

Dharmendra’s family had issued a statement appealing to the media and people to avoid rumors regarding his health and respect the family’s privacy. After the false news of Dharmendra’s demise was released on Tuesday, as condolences started being expressed on social media and elsewhere, the family denied the news and said that he was responding to the treatment.
Dharmendra’s wife Hema Malini and daughter Esha Deol on Tuesday criticized the wrong reports of his death in some sections of the media. For the last two days, there has been a gathering of media outside the hospital and Sunny Deol’s house.
