Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President JP Nadda criticized Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday for the attack in the presence of the Leader of Opposition in West Bengal, Shubhendu Adhikari’s convoy on Thursday, alleging that the incident reflects the completely demolition of law and order in his government in the state.

On Wednesday, some people allegedly pelted stones at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) rally for crimes against women in West Bengal and showed black flags. The BJP has blamed the ruling Trinamool Congress workers for the incident.
Nadda said, “I strongly condemn the attack by Trinamool goons in Cooch Behar on the convoy of West Bengal Leader of Opposition Shubhendu Adhikari. Even more worrying is that this attack took place in the presence of the state police, which clearly shows the fact that Mamata Banerjee’s law and order being completely demolished. ”
He said that it is not only an attack on an elected representative but also an attack on democracy. Nadda said that he spoke to the officer and took stock of the situation. The BJP president said, “If the Leader of the Opposition in West Bengal is not safe, then only the plight of the common people can be imagined.
