Students meeting an old woman under Kutticare mission.
Nedumbapuram Gram Panchayat in Kerala’s Pathanamatta district has started a unique campaign to keep children away from drugs and Moba Il. Under this, students from eighth to 12th class of the village meet the sick and elders of the village. Know about them and give them courage that they will recover soon.
The villagers believe that this will make the children more sensitive and they will be aware of the care of the elderly-left. The children involved in this campaign, which started from April 4 this year, are regularly meeting sick and elderly. Due to this, they have become more aware of health.
The children went to the houses in different wards of the village where there were elderly or sick people. These children spent time with 113 such patients of the village, who were lying in bed in their homes due to illness. Now this series has become regular. First aid training is also being given to 16 children.

Will write the experience of meeting in the diary, understand the sick people
Abinesh Gopan, the head of the Kutticare Project and a doctor at the Ayurvedic Hospital, says that children first survey patients in the village. This gives them the primary understanding of the village. They then analyze the data. Then they go to meet at least one patient once a month.
However, they can meet as many patients as they want. He has been given a diary, in which all information, their feelings and understanding have to be written. This diary is checked every month, whose service is best, it also gets reward.
Dr. Gopan explains that the goal of Kutticare is to make children kind and social. When they talk to a sick person lying on the bed, there are positive changes in their behavior. They increase the feeling of help of others.
He said that we want them to use their energy, knowledge and skills in such a way that the helpless can help with it. There is a lot of energy in childhood and adolescence. If it is given the right direction, then they grow up and become good citizens.
Want to protect children from drug mafia
Teacher Prasanna Kumari said that we want to protect children from drug mafia. Whatever may happen for this, they are doing it. Kutticare is also part of this. We want the children to understand the pain of the people, their problems and the service becomes their intoxication and habit.
