South African batsman Tristan Stubbs had no idea that the first ball of Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav’s new spell would be his best ball of the day on which he would lose his wicket.
The South African player admitted that despite facing his Delhi Capitals teammate Kuldeep several times in the nets, he remained uncomfortable against his balls.
Stubbs hit two sixes off Kuldeep and was just one run away from his half-century when the spinner ended his innings. At the end of the day’s play, Stubbs, who scored 49 runs in 113 balls, said, “I have faced him many times. This was the first ball of his new spell and I think it is his best ball so far. ,
When asked if he wanted to take a run on it, Stubbs explained the way he got out and said that Kuldeep took his wicket with a brilliant ball. Stubbs said, “We kept telling each other that he didn’t bowl to me much, so he came to me at the crease and said, now you can’t say that I don’t bowl to you.”
