India captain Virat Kohli has reprimanded those who trolled Mohammad Shami after the match against Pakistan. He said that attacking anyone on the basis of religion was the most reprehensible.
Pakistan had beaten India by 10 wickets in the Twenty20 World Cup match played on October 24. Shami was then trolled on social media. After the match, Kohli admitted that Pakistan performed better than Team India.
In fact, during a press conference, Kohli strongly condemned those who targeted Mohammad Shami on the basis of religion. “There is a good reason for our game on the field,” he said. Writing on social media is not for the faint of heart.

He further said that this is the lowest level of humanity. There is nothing more frustrating than attacking someone on the basis of religion. I never thought of prejudice on the basis of religion. Religion is a very sacred thing. Our brotherhood, our friendship cannot be shaken and these things do not matter.

After receiving all from Pakistan, there were hundreds of messages on Shami’s Instagram account that he was a traitor and should be dropped from the Indian team. However, many of his fans and well-known personalities from all walks of life supported Shami. Speaking of the India-Pakistan match, India had earlier scored 151 runs while batting. Pakistan easily achieved this target without losing a wicket.
