Kohli created history in the IPL, becoming the batsman with the most centuries

Royal Challengers Bangalore i.e. RCB batsman Virat Kohli exploded in the last league match of IPL 2023 on Sunday, May 21. An unbeaten century came out of his bat and with it he created history in the Indian Premier League i.e. IPL. Virat Kohli has become the batsman with the most centuries in this league. This is the second consecutive century from his bat this season.

Virat Kohli has surpassed Chris Gayle in scoring the most centuries in IPL history. Chris Gayle scored 6 centuries in the IPL, while this is the seventh century from the bat of Virat in this league. In the previous match, Virat equaled Chris Gayle’s century. Along with this, the third name in this list is that of Jos Buttler, who has scored 5 centuries in the history of this league. He scored 4 centuries in the last season.

Virat Kohli completed his century with the help of 13 fours and a six in 60 balls. This is his seventh century in IPL history, while it is his second consecutive century with the bat this season. Earlier he scored a century against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Hyderabad. In this match he completed his half century in 32 balls and added 50 more runs in the next 28 balls.

This innings was very important from RCB’s point of view as this match is a do or die situation for RCB. If Royal Challengers Bangalore win this match then the team will qualify for the playoffs. In this sense, this match was important. Virat Kohli’s innings was even more important as captain Faf Duplessis and Glenn Maxwell were out early.

Thanks to Virat Kohli’s century, RCB scored 197 runs against Gujarat Titans after losing 5 wickets.
