Rohit Sharma has made many achievements on the basis of his brilliant batting all over the world. Rohit is also known as a hitman. He has announced his retirement from T20 and Tests, after which he will now be seen playing only in ODI cricket. It is also being said that he will also play the ODI World Cup 2027. However, by that time Rohit will be over 40 years old.
At the same time, the Board of Control for Cricket in India i.e. BCCI has recently started the Bronco Test. This fitness assessment test was started during the India and England Test series after the fitness problems of many players, especially fast bowlers. The purpose of which was to maintain high -level fitness and improve the aerobic capacity of the players.
What is Bronco Test?
Indeed, the Bronco Test is a kind of aerobic running drill, with the help of which the player’s stamina, speed and heart can be known. This test consists of 20 meters, 40 meters and 60 meters of shuttle race. In a set, three distances run and the player has to complete five such sets without stopping. In this way the player has to run 1,200 meters without rest. Even more important is that the player has to complete this test within 6 minutes.
At the same time, former Indian batsman Manoj Tiwari believes that BCCI and Rohit Sharma have made a big claim. Manoj Tiwari believes that the BCCI has started the Bronco Test to ensure that Rohit Sharma retire from cricket before the 2027 ODI World Cup. Everyone knows that Rohit of India is not the most fit cricketer. But their performance has been such that no one can sit on the bench. Manoj also believes that, so the Branco Test is being started. Rohit is currently 38 years old.
Manoj said to Cricketer that, I think it will be free to keep Virat Kohli out of the 2027 World Cup planning, but I suspect that Rohit Sharma will be included in his planning. Because, see, I analyze the ongoing activities in Indian cricket very closely. I believe this Bronco Test, which was started a few days ago. For players and people like Rohit Sharma who do not want to be a part of the team in my view and for this reason it has been started.
Manoj has also raised questions on the start of the fitness test. Why has the Bronco Test started now after Gautam Gambhir became the head coach in July? Of course, the simple answer to this is that Team India’s new strength and conditioning coach Adrian Le Rocks joined the team in June and started it after coming to the team.
