Residents of tribal -dominated village Kirmich Khedi of Mungavali tehsil of Ashoknagar district will now find a direct and easy way from the main road. Till now the villagers had to pass through the fields and mud -filled temporary routes. As soon as the matter came to the attention of the Union Communications and North-Eastern Region Development Minister and Regional MP Scindia, he has issued necessary instructions to the concerned departments while intervening immediately.
The plan stopped due to lack of demarcation and consent
Basic facilities like school and electricity are available in the village, but so far no government road has been built. Kirmich Khedi is located about 1.5 km from the main road and about 12 km from the block headquarters. The villagers have to pass through a temporary and mud road through 14–15 private fields daily. This path becomes very difficult during the rain. Now construction work will start soon here.
Work order issued on 14 May, construction will start after rain
The tender process has been completed by issuing work order on 14 May 2025 under the Pradhan Mantri Jan-Maan Yojana. The administration has assured that construction work will be started as soon as the monsoon ends. Villagers said that they had been demanding road construction from the local administration for years, but no concrete initiative was taken. Scindia ji’s intervention has now raised hopes of permanent solution.
