Khyber Pakhtunkhwa fierce battle, 11 Pakistani soldiers were killed

Eleven members of Pakistan’s paramilitary forces were killed in an attack by the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) gunmen near the Afghan border, including two officers. According to Pakistani security officials, roadside bombs targeted the convoy before gunmen started firing in the northwest Kurram district. The Pakistani Army said in a statement that these soldiers were killed during a campaign in nearby Okzai district, in which 19 terrorists were also killed. Talking to Reuters, the Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.

TTP’s increasing rebellion in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

In recent months, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) which is trying to overthrow the government and implement its radical version of Islamic rule has intensified attacks on security forces. Islamabad accuses this group of using the land of Afghanistan to plan training and attacks.

19 gunmen killed in campaign in Orakzai

According to local reports, the Pakistani Army said that the security forces launched a campaign late on Tuesday night in the origin of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province based on an intelligent information. During this campaign, 19 gunmen were killed, which the army described as an effective encounter of soldiers. However, 39 -year -old Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Arif and 33 -year -old Major Tayyab Rahat were among the 11 soldiers who lost their lives in the firing.

Increasing violence in tribal districts

Last month, at least 12 Pakistani soldiers were killed in clashes with militants in southern Waziristan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Recently, the Pakistani Army allegedly bombed a TTP stronghold at a village in the province, resulting in many casualties.
