Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge said in Bengaluru on Saturday- leaders of all political parties were present in an all-party meeting convened on the Pahalgam attack. Prime Minister Modi should also have come, but he did not come. We first raised the same question in the meeting.
Kharge said- even when 26 people were killed and many are injured in the country, the PM’s attitude towards the all-party meeting is not good. At that time Modi was busy addressing an election rally in Bihar. If he is not attending the meeting, it means that he is not serious about it.
On April 24, an all -party meeting was held for 2 hours in Parliament Annexe for the Pahalgam attack. It was chaired by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. Many leaders including Amit Shah, S Jaishankar, Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi attended it.
On April 22, 26 tourists were killed by terrorists in Basaron Valley near Pahalgam. These included a Nepali citizen. More than 10 people were injured. The central government on Saturday handed over the investigation into the Pahalgam attack to the NIA (National Investigation Agency).
A two -minute silence was kept for the peace of the souls of those killed in the Pahalgam attack.
Government agreed to security in Pahalgam attack In the all -party meeting, the central government admitted that there was a default in security in the Pahalgam attack. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said that IB and Home Ministry officials informed the opposition leaders about the security lapse in the meeting.
At the same time, the opposition said that they are with the government. Opposition MPs demanded destroying terrorist camps. Said that the government should take strict measures against terror. After the meeting, Rahul Gandhi said- The government has full support on every action. The all -party meeting lasted for two hours. The meeting kept a two -minute silence for the peace of the souls of those killed in the Pahalgam attack.
Kharge said- we are one on this issue After the all -party meeting, Mallikarjun Kharge said that people of all parties had come to today’s all party meeting. We said that the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was necessary in this meeting, because he will take the final decision. The ministers said that we will tell the PM about today’s meeting. We said that it is to tell and the matter, to hear yourself and make a decision.
We said that there is a three-tier security, then how did security laps happen? A thousand people were reaching there. This is a negligence of security failure and intelligence. Terrorist attack occurred, the government had to take fast and quick action, which was not taken. All the leaders together said that whatever decision the government will take in the national interest, we are together. We are all one on this issue.
