Keshav Maharaj created history on Pakistan soil, made world record by taking 7 wickets

South Africa’s left-arm spin bowler Keshav Maharaj performed brilliantly, defeating the middle and lower order of Pakistan in the first innings. Maharaj, who returned after recovering from injury, took 7 wickets and all out Pakistan for 333 runs. This match is being played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
Actually, the second day started with an equal situation for both the teams. Pakistan had scored 259/5 runs on the first day. At the beginning of the second day, Salman Aga and Saud Shakeel made some good partnership but the team could not reach that point.
Whereas the score was fine till 316 runs at the loss of 5 wickets, but after that the team could score only 333 runs and was all out. Keshav Maharaj took all the 5 wickets that fell on the second day. He took 2 wickets in his name on the first day also. In this way, Keshav Maharaj has made the record of best bowling for South Africa in Pakistan.
Maharaj conceded 102 runs for 7 wickets, which is the best performance by any South African bowler in Pakistan so far. Earlier this record was in the name of Paul Adams, who had achieved figures of 7/128 in the Lahore Test in 2003.
Apart from this, Maharaj has set a new record in the World Test Championship. Now he has become the only bowler to take 7 or more wickets thrice in WTC.
