Karur will investigate the stampede 8 -member team, Hema Malini becomes convenor

The eight -member delegation of NDA leaders will visit Tamil Nadu’s Karur to investigate the loss of life and property during the TVK party rally in Karur, Tamil Nadu. BJP President JP Nadda has formed the delegation, which includes BJP MP Anurag Thakur, Tejashwi Surya and Braj Lal, Aparajita Sarangi, Rekha Sharma, Shiv Sena Srikanth Shinde and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Putta Mahesh Kumar. BJP MP Hema Malini is the convenor of this committee.

The death toll in this tragic stampede on Saturday has increased to 41, including 18 women and 10 children. A release states that the team will meet the affected families and submit a detailed report after assessing the ground situation. Nadda expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the people who lost their lives in the stampede. He wished the injured to recover early. Earlier, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Minister L.K. Murugan and Tamil Nadu met the families of those killed in the stampede along with BJP chief Nanar Nagenthan and assured them of all possible help.

The Union Minister also visited Karur’s Government Medical College Hospital. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin said on Monday that in view of Karur stampede, political parties and public organizations should make rules to organize public programs in future. He described the Karur stampede as “a tragedy that should never happen again”.

Stalin said in a video message posted on his X handle, “What happened in Karur is a big tragedy; a cruel tragedy! A tragedy that has never happened before; a tragedy that should never happen. When I went to the hospital again, the scenes I saw is still fresh in front of my eyes. I am still deeply mournful and sad.” He said that as soon as he received this news, he sent the district administration for immediate action and issued all necessary orders.
