FWICE warning and dispute reason

In a letter to Karthik Aryan, FWICE said that the program is being organized by a Pakistani restaurant, starting restaurant and catering. The same restaurant has also organized a program for Pakistan’s Independence Day ‘Jashn-e-Azadi’, which includes Pakistani singer Atif Aslam.

FWICE objected to this, saying, “Committing Indian and Pakistani national programs together by the same establishment is a violation of existing national sentiments and instructions.” The organization, citing the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in April 2025, said that all members of the Indian film industry have been instructed to fully boycott Pakistani artists and technicians. FWICE hoped that Karthik Aryan would work in accordance with his national spirit and dignity of the Indian film industry.
