The Kapurthala police have achieved success in a month. Police have recovered 110 missing mobile phones based on complaints received on CEIR portal. Of these, 65 mobile phones have been handed over to their owners. Apart from this, police took action against drug addicts 189 accused

SSP Gaurav Tura said that the joint team of cybercrime and IT cells took this action. In an event organized in the police line, mobile phones were returned to their real owners. The remaining phone owners are being contacted.

On this occasion, the phone of truck driver Vikram Bishnoi, who came from Ganganagar in Rajasthan, was also returned. His mobile was lost in the Nadala region of Kapurthala last 7 October. Apart from this, missing phones of lawyers, corporation employees, housewives and policemen were also returned. During this, SP-H Gurpreet Singh, DSP SS Randhawa, DSP Daljit Singh and SHO Deepak Sharma were also present.

166 cases registered in campaign against drugs: SSP

Apart from this, the police have taken action against the drug and arrested 189 accused from March 1. Police have registered 166 cases during this period.

SSP Gaurav Tura said that the police have recovered 1.77 kg of heroin, 9,607 intoxicating bullets and 3.5 kg opium. Apart from this, 500 grams of cannabis and 167 grams of intoxicating powder have also been seized.

Drug money and 15 vehicles worth Rs 1.18 lakh have also been seized in the action. The police have freezed assets worth Rs 2.28 crore. The SSP said that 7 cases have been sent to the Delhi Competitive Authority. Also, 30 absconding accused have been arrested. The police have admitted 19 drug addicts to the drug addiction for treatment.
