Police officer giving information and arrested accused standing behind
The Kapurthala police arrested the mother-son from Hathras in Uttar Pradesh in a case of cyber fraud. Accused Prashant Jurael and his mother Yashoda Devi had cheated people by creating a fake social media ID of an immigration expert in Kapurthala.

Kumar Gaurav, a resident of Green Park in Kapurthala, told the police that he is a social media influencer. He gives information about immigration and going abroad on various platforms. Their customers pay online service fee.
Rupee recovered by creating fake ID
The complainant came to know that some people are charging money from people by creating their fake IDs. On 16 July 2024, an FIR was lodged at the Cybercrime Police Station. Three accused were identified during the investigation, including Hathras resident Prashant Jurlel, Yashoda Devi and Aligarh resident Satya Prakash.
DSP Cybercrime Daljit Singh said that according to the police, the police have arrested the mother and son and got their bank accounts freeze. Mobile phones have been recovered from the accused. Both have been taken on two days of police remand. The search for the third accused continues.
