The Mumbai Police provided security artist and television host Kapil Sharma after two incidents of firing in his newly opened cafe in Canada’s Surrey last month. The latest firing took place on Thursday, 7 August in Newton area. Surrey police said in a statement that at around 4:40 pm on August 7, 2025, SPS frontline officers took action on the information of firing outside a business in 8400 blocks of 120 Street.

Although the police have not identified the establishment, Canadian media reports stated that the target site was Sharmaz Cups Cafe. The incident took place on July 10, 2025 after a similar firing at this place. In both cases, no injuries are reported, but repeated attacks have created serious security concerns. Surrey police are investigating both incidents, investigating the possible relations between firing and their association with any widespread criminal activity in the area.

The 43 -year -old comedian, known for its popular television show “The Kapil Sharma Show”, opened the café under its foreign professional undertakings earlier this year.
