The mythological ‘Kannappa’ is a star-staded period drama that has earned well at the box office. After releasing on 27 June, the film is now ready for its OTT premiere. Vishnu Manchu’s long -awaited dream project, ‘Kannappa’, has finally come on OTT. After performing in 10 weeks of theaters, this devotional epic is now streaming in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam on Amazon Prime Video. Currently, there is no information about when or when its Hindi version will be added.

Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and written by Vishnu Manchu himself, ‘Kannappa’ is based on the timeless story of tribal warrior Thinnadu. Through the worship of Viauling of Thinnadu, a stubborn atheist, a change in a devotee of Lord Shiva is a emotional center of story. Vishnu Manchu has played the lead role with full vigor, and is accompanied by a brilliant actors who have been the biggest discussion of the film since their announcement.

Story of Kannappa

Kannappa is inspired by true events and revolves around the spiritual journey of a tribal warrior and hardcore atheist Thinnadu (Vishnu Manchu). Initially, a form of Lord Shiva, who rejected all religious customs and beliefs, a vision of the air gender leads to an unexpected and deep twist in his life, making him one of the most dedicated followers of Shiva.

Kannappa’s budget and collection

Kannappa was made in a huge budget of Rs 200 crore. The film depends largely on VFX. However, the film could not recover its construction cost and earned only Rs 42.18 crore worldwide, including Rs 37.08 crore in India and Rs 5.1 crore abroad.

This mythological drama failed to influence not only the audience of theaters, but also critics.
