This statement of Haasan is considered important in the backdrop of this comment made a few days ago that “Kannada is born from Tamil”. The actor said that he had also fully understood the importance or meaning of the slogans ‘Ure, Urave, Tamheehe’ used in his public addresses. The use of all three words simultaneously shows their deep love for Tamil and their deep engagement with him. Incidentally, Haasan also used this tagline in the promotional program of ‘Thug Life’ in Chennai, during which he commented on Kannada.
Haasan praised the legendary film director Mani Ratnam, saying that he has become a ‘cinema knowledgeable’ and was excited to work with him. The actor also thanked the media on the occasion. The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday criticized Haasan on the comment on Kannada’s birth from Tamil.
