Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav on Friday called the Election Commission a Jugaad Commission and raised questions about the result of Kundarki assembly by -election.
Akhilesh told reporters here, if the figures of Kundarki (by -elections) were considered, then 77 percent of the votes were received by him (BJP candidates), while BJP’s vote percentage is 26 percent to 36 percent. The results of the by -election for the Kundarki assembly constituency were declared in November 2024.
Yadav told reporters here, “If you look at the figures of Kundarki, he (BJP) got 77 percent of the votes, while their vote bank is 26 to 36 percent. They have some officers who are experts. ”
The SP chief indirectly sarcasted the Election Commission and said, he has an election trio – the officials, the government and the commission. And it is being said about this commission that it is a jugaad commission through which work is done. If the Jugaad Commission, considered fair, is not cooperating, then whom should we complain?
According to the Election Commission, in November 2024, BJP’s Ramveer Singh defeated his nearest rival Samajwadi Party’s Mohammad Rizwan in the Kundarki assembly seat by a margin of 1,44,791 votes.
According to the commission, Ramvir Singh got 1,70,371 (76.71 percent) votes, while SP’s Mohammad Rizwan finished second with 25,580 votes. Chand Babu of Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) finished third, followed by Mohammad Varish of AIMIM. The SP chief said that his party workers are constantly making efforts to prevent votes from being cut.
