The body of singer Zubin Garg was post -mortem for the second time in Guwahati Medical College and Hospital on Tuesday morning. Chief Minister Himanta Vishwa Sharma visited Arjun Bhogeshwar Barua Sports Complex in Sarusjai in the morning and paid tribute to the singer before taking the body to the hospital for post -mortem. Sharma posted on the social media platform ‘X’, “There is only a few hours left for Dear Jubin’s last journey to begin. Some time ago I paid tribute to his well -wishers at Sarusjai Stadium. ‘

He said, “The last two days were witness to how much people love him. Now there will be no other jubin. ”After the post -mortem, Garg’s body was brought back to the stadium, from where he will be taken to the funeral site in Kamarkuch, the outskirts of Sonpour, the outskirts of Guwahati. The stadium gates were closed at midnight. His body was kept in this stadium since Sunday. Educational institutions are closed across the state in honor of this famous personality, while government offices are only closed in Kamarup (Metro) district.

Huge LED screens have been installed at many places across the state so that fans can watch Garg’s last visit. Garg’s funeral will take place with full state honors. After taking off the coffin from the vehicle at the funeral site in Kamarkuchi, the policemen will give him a shoulder. The state has declared dry day, while the Meghalaya government has also said that all the liquor shops will be closed on the route through which Jubin’s body will pass.

Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Reijiju will represent the Center at the funeral. Apart from the Chief Minister, Governor Laxman Prasad Acharya, Chief Justice of Guwahati High Court Ashutosh Kumar, Assembly Speaker Vishwajit Daari, Leader of Opposition Devvrat Saikia and Representatives of Akhil Assam Students Union (Asu) will attend the funeral.
