Australian wicketkeeper batsman Josh Phillippe is out before the second ODI against India. Alex Carey has returned in his place in the second ODI to be held in Adelaide on Thursday. Let us tell you that Josh Philip had performed brilliantly in the first ODI against India.
Both Josh Inglis and Carey were not available for the first match of the series. Philip took full advantage of this. He took two excellent catches and played an important inning of 37 runs in 29 balls. Phillips, along with captain Mitchell Marsh, made a 55-run partnership, leading Australia to a seven-wicket win.
This 28-year-old player told cricket.com.au before the second ODI that, if I get a chance, it will be in the middle order. I adjust to situations very quickly and I am proud of it.
With Inglis recovering from a calf strain and Carey returning, Phillip knows he may have to sit out but remains hopeful of getting a chance.
