Nagar Mohali has been arrested, who is accused of having S.A.S. The Philips factory located in Nagar was illegally deregistered due to which the Punjab government suffered a loss of Rs 600 to 700 crores and had to face cases in various courts. Today the said accused was sent to S.A.S. The Vigilance Bureau has obtained a five-day police remand by presenting it in a city court.

Giving this information here today, a spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said that in this regard, the Bureau has already filed case number 01 dated 05-01-2023 under section 13 (1) (a), 13 (2) and I of the Prevention of Corruption Act. .PC Sections 409, 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 201, 120- b. Under Thana Vigilance Bureau Udan Dasta-1, Punjab, S.A.S. Nagar in which 9 accused officers/employees have been arrested so far who are in jail under judicial custody.

He said that during the investigation of this case, on 31-03-2023, Narinder Singh, Joint Director, Resident of House No. 1397, Sector 68, S.A.S. Nagar was named as an accused in this case and arrested. During the investigation, it was found that on 28-12-2018, the said officer sent an application to Labor Commissioner Punjab, Chandigarh from Sukanto Aich Director and Phillips Company by post to Mosul, but Narinder Singh himself sent this application to Labor Commissioner Punjab without sending it. Action started.

The said officer through his letter No. 19 dated 10-01-2019 deregistered the said factory without any investigation or taking the statement of any worker of Philips Company and without the approval of the Labor Commissioner. Apart from this, a copy of the letter issued on 25-01-2019 for de-registration has been sent to the offices of various industries, director factories etc. regarding the de-registration of factories, but this letter has not been received at any office.

After this on 27-02-2019 Labor Inspector, S.A.S. Challan of Section 25 of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 on behalf of the Punjab Government in the court of the local Chief Judicial Magistrate by Sankuto Aich and Amit Mittal, Messrs. Phillips India Limited Phase-9, SAS. Filed against the city.

It is to be mentioned here that if the said Narinder Singh had not deregistered this factory, then this factory could not have been closed and the challan under Section 25 of the Industrial Disputes Act would not have been issued and before making such a challan, the said Narinder Singh should have been investigated regularly. He should have done what he did not do. That is why the said descendants took advantage of this provision and filed a special leave petition in the Supreme Court against the Punjab Government on 05-08-2019 and obtained a stay against the challan issued under Section 25. During the investigation, it was found that if this official had not deregistered the said factory, the Punjab government would have received a revenue of Rs 600 to 700 crore. Further investigation of this case is ongoing.
