Jinping took out its favorite car for Modi, famous as Red Flag

During the ongoing Shanghai Cooperation Sangathan Summit in Tiangjin, PM Modi has been welcomed in a very special way. He was provided Hongchi L5, China’s most presidency presidential car for this two -day visit. This is the same car used by Chinese President Xi Jinping himself. Hongchi L55 is known as Red Flag in China and is reserved only for top leaders. It is made by the government company FAW First Automoti Works, which launched its first car in 1958. Especially for the leaders of the Communist Party. The interesting thing is that when Xi Jinping came to India in 2019, he used this Hongchi car. Now by providing the same ride to PM Modi, China has given special diplomatic indication.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Chinfing agreed to deepen bilateral relations to deal with challenges and work towards proper resolution of the border issue. In his conversation on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, Modi and Xi displayed a strategic rapport by focusing on promoting economic relations, that too at a time when India is probably going through the worst phase in its relations with the US in more than two decades.

The tension between the two countries has increased due to US President Donald Trump’s tariff (fee) policy and his continuous criticism by his administration. Modi said in the meeting that both India and China are in favor of “strategic autonomy” and their relations should not be seen from the perspective of a third country. This comment is considered important in view of the decline in India’s relations with the US. The talks between the two leaders discussed several issues, including reducing the India-China trade deficit, dealing with challenges like terrorism and ensuring fair trade on multilateral forums.
