Jaswinder Bhalla Passes Away | Comedy King Jaswinder was also honored as an agricultural scient

Popular comedian Jaswinder Bhalla, famous for his acting in Punjabi cinema, has died at the age of 65. According to reports, the actor breathed his last at Fortis Hospital in Mohali in the early hours of Friday. News18 reported that his funeral will be in Balgi on Saturday. The Punjabi film industry is expected to include several of his colleagues.
Famous, famous Punjabi comedian Jaswinder Bhalla, famous for his lawyer’s role in Carrie on Jatta and Kala Kot Samvad, died today on 22 August. He was not only known for his comic roles on screen, but was also honored as a professor of agricultural science. Bhalla was working as a faculty member at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana. He received higher education in this subject and received his PhD in Agricultural Science from Punjab University. His teaching career lasted for many years, during which he guided the students, balanced his parallel career in the field of entertainment.

Jaswinder Bhalla served as a professor and head of the Department of Extension Education at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana. After working in the Punjab Agriculture Department for five years, he joined PAU in 1989. Bhalla received the BSc (Honors) in agriculture from PAU and MSc in extension education, followed by PhD from CCS University, Meerut.
Jaswinder’s performance and comedy career
Jaswinder Bhalla started his acting career in 1988 with Comedy Series Chhankata, where he played uncle Chhatra with co-star Bal Mukand Sharma and Neelu. He later became widely known for his acting in Punjabi cinema.

Bhalla made his debut in the Punjabi film world from Dulla Bhatti and acted in many successful films. His remarkable works include Chak De Fatta, Carrie on Jatta and Daddy Cool Munde Phool, which remains the favorite films of the audience.
Jaswinder’s educational career
Apart from acting, Jaswinder Bhalla’s educational career was also special. He took admission in the Punjab Agricultural University in 1989 as a lecturer of agricultural extension education and retired from the post of Head of Department in 2020. He received BSC Agriculture (Honors) and MSc (Extension Education) degrees from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana in 1982 and 1985 respectively. Before joining PAU, he served as AI/ADO in the Agriculture Department of Punjab for five years. Later he did his Ph.D. Completed (Agricultural Extension) graduated in 2000 as a service candidate from CCSU, Meerut.

Jaswinder Bhalla’s family and personal life
Jaswinder Bhalla was married to Paramjit Kaur Bhalla and had two children – a son, Yuvraj Bhalla and a daughter, Jasmine Bhalla. Yuvraj made his father’s path by making his debut in the Punjabi film industry.
Bhalla, who was deeply interested in the family, often shared moments of his personal life on social media. He often thanked his family for unwavering support in his entire career. His wife, Paramjeet, was his constant companion and was often seen with him at various programs and award ceremonies.
