India’s Foreign Minister S Jaishankar arrived in China for a meeting of SCO’s foreign ministers. Here he met with Chinese counterpart Wang Yi. S Jaishankar has thanked the Chinese Foreign Minister for his warm reception and also wished the SCO headed by the Chinese side. He has also commented on relations with India and China. In it, he has said that for our bilateral relations it is necessary that we should adopt a distant view of our relationships. He is moving positively in October 2024 after the meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping in Kazan. Emphasis has been given to extend it responsibly. Along with this, he has also said that there is a 75th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between our two countries.

Highlighting the importance of current diplomatic engagement, Jaishankar said that the continuous generalization of relations between the two Asian giants can lead to results that are mutually beneficial. Jaishankar said in his television inaugural speech in the meeting, “As you said, our bilateral relations have been continuously improving since the meeting between Prime Minister (Narendra) Modi and President Xi Jinping in Kazan last October. He said that I am confident that my conversation in this journey will move forward in this positive direction.
