Jairam Ramesh claims: Big fraud in Bihar voter list, BJP’s B-Team has become Election Commission

Jairam Ramesh, general secretary in -charge of the Congress, claimed on Saturday that irregularities have come to light in the final voter list after special intensive revision in Bihar. Sharing a media report, Ramesh alleged that 247 voters were found in the same house and one person’s name appeared thrice at the same booth. Alleging that the SIR was held at the behest of the ruling government, he called the Election Commission a B-Team of the BJP.

The Congress leader shared an X post and wrote that the Election Commission has planned the entire SIR drama at the behest of the BJP. Even in the final SIR, the claims of reforms by the Election Commission are proving false. Reports are coming from all areas of Bihar which confirm that the sole purpose of the entire process is to provide political benefits to the BJP and its allies. He further said, “Even after the SIR process, many examples of irregularities in the final list show that the Election Commission does not care about the clear orders of the Supreme Court. While acting like the B-Tim of the BJP, the Election Commission has come out completely shameless.”
In addition, Jairam Ramesh sought an answer from Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar on alleged irregularities. He wrote, “Will the Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar tell how 247 voters were found in the same house and why the same person’s name appeared 3-3 times at the same booth? How are such big irregularities coming out in the final voter list? Or they will remain silent as before?” Since the names of about 47 lakh voters have been removed compared to the list before the SIR process, Ramesh said that the number is more than the margin of victory in the previous elections.

He wrote that the worrying aspect is that in some assembly constituencies, the names of the removed voters are more than the margin of victory in the previous elections. We have been saying from the very first day that the Election Commission of India belongs to the whole country and it should not become a puppet of the Election Commission.
