Devjit Saikia, secretary of the Cricket Control Board of India (BCCI), said that the heads of the three armies, top -ranked officers and soldiers have been invited for the Indian Premier League (IPL) final, which will be in Ahmedabad on June 3. The title of IPL will be held on June 3 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The ongoing version of the tournament was temporarily suspended on 9 May due to cross -border tension between India and Pakistan, in which the Indian Armed Forces also conducted Operation Sindoor in response to the Pahalgam terror attack.

This step has been taken by the BCCI to celebrate the success of the operation. Saikia told ANI that we have invited all the Indian Armed Forces Chiefs (General Upendra Dwivedi, Thal Army Chief, Admiral Dinesh’s Tripathi, Navy Chief and Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh, Air Force Chief), top rank officials and soldiers for the IPL final to be held in Ahmedabad to celebrate the success of Operation Sindoor.

Operation Sindoor was India’s decisive military reaction after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April. Operation Sindoor, launched on May 7, killed more than 100 terrorists associated with terrorist organizations like Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul Mujahideen. After the attack, Pakistan opened fire from across the Line of Control and Jammu and Kashmir as well as drone attacks in the border areas, after which India launched a coordinated attack and damaged radar infrastructure, communication centers and air areas in 11 airbase of Pakistan.
