In a discussion on the topic ‘Status of Ukraine occupied’ areas’ at the United Nations General Assembly, Harish said that “India is concerned that fuel prices and other things are affecting the whole world as a result of the conflict, especially the countries of Global South, which have been left on his condition.” We believe that their voice should be heard and their legitimate concerns should be resolved properly. ”

‘Global South’ refers to countries that are often known as developing, less developed or underdeveloped and are mainly located in Africa, Asia and Latin America. India emphasized that full participation and commitment of all stakeholders is important for permanent peace.
Harish said that India last month supported the summit meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska and appreciated the progress made in it. “We also pay attention to the diplomatic efforts of the US President to interact with the President and European leaders of Ukraine,” Harish said.
He said, “We believe that all these diplomatic efforts are important for ending the ongoing struggle in Ukraine and the possibilities of permanent peace.” Harish said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in touch with Putin, Jailnsky and European leadership on the current situation. He emphasized that the early end of the Ukraine struggle is in everyone’s interest, as well as referring to Modi’s message that “this is not an era of war.”
A few hours before India’s statement at the United Nations General Assembly, Prime Minister Modi interacted with the European Union top leaders Antonio Costa and Ursula von Der Leyen. Modi said in a post on ‘X’, “I issued issues of mutual interest and efforts to end the struggle in Ukraine soon.” Earlier on Thursday, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also spoke to Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrei Sibiha and discussed Ukraine struggle along with bilateral cooperation. Jaishankar said, “India supports the early end and permanent peace of this struggle.” Sibiha said that he informed Jaishankar about Ukraine’s efforts for the current situation of war and justified peace.
