ISRO launches heaviest communication satellite CMS-03 from ‘Bahubali’, Navy will get invincible power

The Indian Space Research Organization on Sunday created history and successfully launched the country’s heaviest communication satellite CMS-03. Weighing 4,410 kg, this satellite is the heaviest satellite ever sent into Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (GTO) from Indian soil.
Miracle of ‘Baahubali’ rocket
This satellite was launched with a 43.5 meter high LVM3-M5 rocket. The LVM3-M5 rocket is also called ‘Bahubali’ due to its heavy lift capacity.

ISRO’s claim
ISRO said that LVM-3 (Launch Vehicle Mark-3) is their new heavy-lift launch vehicle, which is designed to launch spacecraft weighing up to 4,000 kg into the GTO.

Navy will be strengthened
CMS-03 is considered to be the most advanced satellite of the Navy till date. Its launch will further strengthen the surveillance capability of the Indian Navy. This satellite will further improve space communication and monitoring of marine areas.
