Why were the ships going to Gaza?

This fleet with more than 40 civilian boats was trying to provide human help like medicines and food in the war-torn and famine-affected Gaza. Their goal was to provide assistance by sea route and break the blockade by Israel.

The Israeli Navy took this action when they warned the boats for several days. Israeli argued that these boats were moving towards an active war zone and violating a valid blockade.

Activists’ allegations

The activists of Flotila described the intervention of the Israeli army as a ‘war crime’. The organizers said in a statement, “The Israeli occupation forces illegally stopped and rode on them,” the organizers said.

People riding boats issued a clip on Telegram, in which he claimed that he had been kidnapped and being taken to Israel against his wish.

He also alleged that the Israeli army used aggressive methods such as water showers against the workers. However, he also admitted that no one had suffered any serious harm.
