At least 50 people were killed and several others were injured in a horrific fire in a hypermarket in Al-Cut city of East Iraq, the State News Agency (INA) gave this information on Thursday quoting the province governor. In the scenes aired on social media, flames were seen overnight in a five-storey building in Al-Cut, while firefighters were trying to control the fire.

Significantly, the cause of the fire is not yet known, but according to the INA report, the governor has said that the initial results of the investigation will be declared within 48 hours. INA quoted the governor as saying that we have filed a case against the owner of the building and the mall.
